Meet our Instructors

Mark Fowler

With over 30 years of Diving experience, 6,000 dives logged and also being the Virginia State Police Scuba Team Senior Diver/Division 5 Coordinator.  Mark is qualified to teach from Snorkeling to Instructor Trainers.  He specializes in Rebreathers and First Responder Training.

Chet Parzych

As a Staff Instructor, Chet holds Instructor Ratings with SDI/TDI, PADI and IANTD.  Chet is an avid wreck diver, cave diver and loves to spearfish.  You can find him out exploring wrecks and caves with his Rebreather.


Jonah Gibbons

Jonah began developing his SCUBA leadership and training skills in 2014 when he began training as a Divemaster.  He lives in Tallahassee where he is active in the local diving community.  Jonah is experienced in teaching and diving with people of all ages and with different abilities.

Marvin Zaske

Marvin has over 2,000 dives and 500 Cave dives.  As one of our Staff Instructors he holds Instructor levels with SDI/TDI and IANTD.  Marvin enjoys underwater photography and enjoys traveling to new dive locations around the world.  

Richard Black

Richard has a lifelong passion for Florida's underwater world.  From reefs to wrecks and springs to caves, Richard enjoys it all.  He holds Instructor ratings with SDI/TDI & IANTD.  When not underwater, you will find him promoting our sport through his Florida Dive Connection blog, organizing SCUBA diving events, and working with various media projects.

Tom Atkins

Originally from Chicago, IL Tom moved to North Florida in October of 2017 to enjoy the Caves that this area has to offer.  Certified since 1994, Tom currently holds Instructor level ratings with SDI/TDI, PADI, RAID and IANTD.
